If you are like me, you are constantly trying to come up with new, simple snack ideas for your little one(s). My son prefers to snack on fruit, but I always try to include some protein in all of his snacks (as much as he will let me). Almond butter and sunflower seed butter are a perfect way to sneak some tasty protein into a snack; I previously shared one of his favorites, Waffle Apples with Almond Butter and Coconut.
This is another super easy snack for including your Little as sous chef for some family time in the kitchen. It is a fun and interactive way to give your toddler choice during snack time (we know toddlers love having some control) by allowing him to choose and sprinkle on the toppings. I use fresh banana when making this, but you could always use frozen banana slices. Bananas are a great source of vitamin C, vitamin B-6, and potassium, which help to boost your immune system, maintain healthy brain function, and protect your cardiovascular system. This yellow fruit is just perfect for your little monkey!
